You cannot charge the battery by connecting the IC recorder to your computer.
- The USB cable is not connected properly.
- If you use a cable other than the USB cable supplied, the charging terminal may not be connected properly.
- When you connect the IC recorder to a computer which is not running, the battery will not be charged. Even if the computer is on, and the computer is in a mode of reduced operation (standby or sleep), you cannot charge the battery.
- Disconnect the IC recorder from your computer and reconnect it.
- While playing back files using the built-in speaker, you cannot charge the battery.
- The rechargeable battery performance has deteriorated.
If you do not intend to use the IC recorder for a long period of time, you may not be able to enjoy the same performance as the original battery performance. If you charge and discharge the battery power repeatedly, the battery may recover its ability to take and hold a charge.
If the rechargeable battery does not recover its ability, consult your nearest Sony dealer.
