   The SSID of PCS is displayed here.

2. Security

   The authentication method used by PCS to accept a request for wireless LAN connection from a smartphone/tablet.

   • None
   • WPA/WPA2 PSK

3. Wireless band

   The frequency band used by PCS in Wi-Fi Direct mode.

4. Channel width

   The broadness of the wireless channel used by PCS.

   • 20MHz
   • 40MHz

5. Password setting or WPA key for the connected device

   When [WPA/WPA2 PSK] is selected as the authentication method, set the password. To connect a smartphone/tablet to PCS, enter this password in its network setting screen.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to terminate PCS Manager once, establish a wireless LAN connection, then restart PCS Manager.

Hint

• If PCS fails to connect to your smartphone/tablet due to incorrect setting, it cannot be operated by PCS Manager. Press and hold the RESET switch for more than five seconds to reset PCS, then set it up again. See Resetting by the RESET switch for information on how to use the Reset switch, and see Parts and controls for the location of the RESET switch.
• When reset, the WPA key (network password) returns to its default (printed on the label underside).

Note

• The WEP authentication method cannot be used for the wireless LAN connection between PCS and a smartphone/tablet. To use an authentication method, use a smartphone/tablet that supports the WPA/WPA2 PSK authentication method.
• This function cannot be used when you have signed in to PCS in "Read-Only Access" mode.
