The screen brightness does not adjust automatically as expected.

When you set the screen brightness to adjust automatically, the screen will not darken once it gets brighter. This does not indicate a malfunction. Brightness returns to normal when you press the power button to turn off the screen (switch to sleep mode) and press it again to turn the screen back on.
