Turning Off the LCD Backlight by Pressing the Button (DISPLAY OFF Button)

You can turn off the LCD backlight by pressing the DISPLAY OFF button.

For example, you can turn off the LCD backlight while writing video files to DVD media.

The DISPLAY OFF indicator light is on while the LCD backlight is off.

Note

Pressing the DISPLAY OFF button turns off the LCD backlight, but not the computer screen. You can barely see the desktop in bright light.
