Starting Wireless WAN Communications
<Wireless WAN equipped models>

1. Click (Start), All Programs, and VAIO Smart Network or click (the VAIO Smart Network icon) in the desktop notification area.

2. Make sure that the switch next to Wireless Functions is toggle to On.

3. Click the switch next to Wireless WAN to toggle it to On.

4. Click the down arrow button next to the Wireless WAN switch and the Connect button to launch your connection manager software or the preinstalled software from a carrier depending on your model or country.

5. Enter your PIN code when prompted.

6. Click Connect.

7. If requested, enter the Access Point Name (APN) information of your carrier.

• If there is a SIM card cover on your VAIO computer, make sure that the cover is properly closed. Otherwise, the wireless WAN function may not work.
