Logging Onto Windows
<Fingerprint sensor equipped models>
You can log onto your user account for which you have registered your fingerprint by swiping the finger across the fingerprint sensor in place of entering the Windows password.

Swipe the registered finger across the fingerprint sensor when the Windows log-on screen appears. [Details]
The Windows logon process starts.

You can close the fingerprint authentication window by pressing the Esc key and enter the Windows password with the keyboard instead.
