About Graphics Modes
This topic explains the graphics mode settings.
Your VAIO computer has two graphics modes available. By switching the graphics mode automatically depending on computer conditions, such as the number of external displays connected to the computer, the computer can run at optimum conditions.
Computer Display mode
When the computer screen is selected as the display output, your VAIO computer enhances its graphics performance by using the graphics accelerator on the connected docking station (supplied or optional).
External Display mode
You can extend your desktop across multiple external displays connected to your VAIO computer or the docking station.
When you use both the computer screen and the external display connected to the computer, the graphics accelerator on the computer is used.
When you use the external displays connected to the docking station, the graphics accelerator on the docking station is used.
Hint
-
In Computer Display mode, you cannot output images to the external displays connected to the docking station.
