You can select your desired image quality for AVCHD movies. The recording time or the type of media device to which the images can be copied may differ, depending on the movie quality selected.

- High Quality
: - HDR-CX450/CX455/CX485
- Records a higher quality movie (when in 60i (*)/50i (**)).
- HDR-CX625/CX675/PJ675/CX680/PJ680
- Records a higher quality movie (when in 60i (*)/50i (**)/24p (*)/25p (**)).
- Standard
: - Records a standard quality movie (when in 60i (*)/50i (**)).
- Long Time
: - Records a long movie (when in 60i (*)/50i (**)).
