Horizon Lock
Horizon Lock is a function that maintains the level when the camera rotates.
By using the Adjust clip plugin of the Catalyst Prepare Plugin, you can correct tilted images to keep them level.
To use Horizon Lock, you need to enable stabilization. For more details, refer to ”Stabilization”.
Here are the steps to perform Horizon Lock in the Cut, Edit, of DaVinci Resolve / DaVinci Resolve Studio.
-
Add a clip from the Media Pool to the timeline.
For information on the camera settings required to enable corrections using metadata, visit https://www.sony.net/catalyst/help.
Note that if you change the camera settings or remove the lens while recording the clip, Horizon Lock may not be supported.
-
Click on the OpenFx > Filters > Sony > Catalyst Prepare Plugin > Adjust clip in the Effects panel to add the Adjust clip.
-
Select the Apply check box for Stabilization and the Apply check box for Horizon Lock to enable Horizon Lock.
-
Click the Analyze button to analyze the selected clip. The results of the correction will be reflected in the preview display.
After analysis, the corrected resolution will be displayed in the Export summary section.
Setting the cropping amount lower may weaken the Horizon Lock effect.
You can switch Horizon Lock ON/OFF only when Stabilization is on.
If a network connection to confirm the Catalyst Prepare Plugin license cannot be established, a watermark will appear on the correction output results.
