Charging the battery pack using a charger
When using the camera for the first time, be sure to charge the battery pack. The charged battery pack is discharged little by little, even when you do not use it. To avoid missing an opportunity to shoot, charge the battery pack again before you shoot.
- Insert the battery pack into the battery charger.
- Slide the top cover of the battery charger to open it, and then insert the battery pack until it clicks by aligning the marks (A) on both the battery pack and the battery charger.
- Slide the top cover of the battery charger to close it.
- Connect the battery charger to the AC Adaptor (supplied) using the micro USB cable (supplied), and connect the AC Adaptor to a wall outlet (wall socket). Alternatively, you can charge the battery from a computer by connecting the battery charger to a USB jack on a computer connected to a power source.
- The CHARGE lamp (B) lights orange when charging is started.
- The CHARGE lamp turns off when charging is finished.
- If the CHARGE lamp lights up and then immediately turns off, the battery pack is fully charged.
- For some countries/regions, connect the power cord to the AC Adaptor and then connect the AC Adaptor to a wall outlet (wall socket) when you charge the battery pack using the AC Adaptor.
Charging time
The charging time is approximately 155 min. using the AC Adaptor (supplied) and the battery charger (supplied).
- The charging time above is the time when charging a fully depleted battery pack (supplied) at a temperature of 25°C (77°F). Charging may take longer depending on the conditions of use and the surrounding environment.
Note
- If the CHARGE lamp does not light up, check if the battery pack is firmly attached to the battery charger, and then disconnect and reconnect the micro USB cable.
- Connect the battery charger directly to the computer, not via a USB hub, etc.
