LPF Effect

This camera is equipped with an adjustable optical low pass filter. By adjusting [LPF Effect] to match the subject, you can give priority to resolution, or reduce moiré and false color.

  1. MENU→ (Camera Settings)→ [LPF Effect]→desired setting.

Menu item details

(Off):
Does not use [LPF Effect]. Gives priority to resolution.
(Standard):
Balances resolution with moiré and false color reduction.
(High):
Gives priority to reducing moiré and false color.

Note

  • You may not be able to achieve satisfactory results, depending on the camera settings and the subject.
  • is displayed on the monitor while the settings switch. You can shoot images, but [LPF Effect] may not work properly. is displayed on each image shot while the settings were switching.
  • [LPF Effect] is locked to [Off] in the following shooting modes:
    • [Intelligent Auto]
    • [Superior Auto]
    • [Scene Selection]
    • [Sweep Panorama]
    • [Movie]
