Exposure Comp.
You can adjust the exposure under MENU when the exposure compensation dial is set to “0.” Based on the exposure value set by auto exposure, you can make the entire image brighter or darker if you adjust [Exposure Comp.] to the plus side or minus side, respectively (exposure compensation). Normally, exposure is set automatically (auto exposure).

(Camera Settings) → [Exposure Comp.] → desired setting.
- You can adjust the exposure in a range of –3.0 EV to +3.0 EV when the exposure compensation dial is set to “0.”
Note
- You can adjust the exposure in a range of –2.0 EV to +2.0 EV for movies.
- If you shoot a subject in extremely bright or dark conditions, or when you use the flash, you may not be able to get a satisfactory effect.

When the exposure compensation dial is set to other than “0,” settings for the exposure compensation dial will be prioritized. For example, if you set [Exposure Comp.] to +3.0 EV, but the exposure compensation dial is set to +2.0 EV, the “+2.0 EV” setting will be prioritized.
- When you set the exposure compensation dial to “0” from a setting other than “0,” the exposure value switches to “0” even if the exposure has been set to other settings.
- When you use [Manual Exposure], you can compensate for the exposure only when [ISO] is set to [ISO AUTO].
