Follow the procedures below when disconnecting the USB cable to prevent damage to data.

Press the
(Power) button if the screen of your Walkman is off.

If your Walkman is connected to a computer in MTP or PTP mode, you do not need to follow the procedures below. Just disconnect the USB cable.

Tap [Turn off USB storage] displayed on the screen of your Walkman.
If that message is not displayed on the screen, swipe the status bar, then tap [Turn off USB storage] on the notification panel.

Disconnect the USB cable.

Do not disconnect the USB cable while transferring data.
