Macro

The camera is set to Macro mode automatically. You can focus closer if the [Magnifying Glass Plus] is set. Also, you can illuminate the subject with the LED light.
  1. (Macro) desired mode.


(Auto)
The camera adjusts the focus automatically from distant subjects to close-up. You can shoot up to 3 cm (0.10 ft.) from the subject.

(Magnifying Glass Plus)
Use this mode to shoot at close distances.
You can shoot up to 1 cm (0.03 ft.) from the subject, and light the LED light. The central portion is enlarged by 2×.

Notes
  • When [Macro] is set to [Magnifying Glass Plus], [Clear Image Zoom] always set to [On].

  • Note the following points when using the Magnifying Glass Plus mode.

  • You cannot use the Scene Recognition or Face Detection functions.

  • This mode is cancelled if you turn off the power or switch the REC mode to another one.

  • [Flash] cannot be set.

  • The focus speed becomes slower.
