Macro
The camera is set to Macro mode automatically. You can focus closer if the [Magnifying Glass Plus] is set. Also, you can illuminate the subject with the LED light.

The camera adjusts the focus automatically from distant subjects to close-up. You can shoot up to 3 cm (0.10 ft.) from the subject.

(Magnifying Glass Plus)

Use this mode to shoot at close distances.
You can shoot up to 1 cm (0.03 ft.) from the subject, and light the LED light. The central portion is enlarged by 2×.

Notes

When [Macro] is set to [Magnifying Glass Plus], [Clear Image Zoom] always set to [On].

Note the following points when using the Magnifying Glass Plus mode.

You cannot use the Scene Recognition or Face Detection functions.

This mode is cancelled if you turn off the power or switch the REC mode to another one.

[Flash] cannot be set.

The focus speed becomes slower.
