If you have problems
If you run into any problems using this product, follow the steps below.
- Check the items under “Troubleshooting,” and inspect this product.
- Disconnect the power source, attach the power source again after about 1 minute, and turn this product on.
- Perform [Initialize].
- If you select [Initialize], all settings, including the clock setting, are reset.
- Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.

You may need to initialize or change the current internal memory (HDR-CX540/CX610E/PJ540/PJ540E/PJ610E) of this product depending on the problem.
If you do so, the data stored on the internal memory (HDR-CX540/CX610E/PJ540/PJ540E/PJ610E) will be deleted. Be sure to save the data on the internal memory (HDR-CX540/CX610E/PJ540/PJ540E/PJ610E) on other media (backup) before sending this product for repair. We will not compensate you for any loss of internal memory (HDR-CX540/CX610E/PJ540/PJ540E/PJ610E) data.
- During repair, we may check a minimum amount of data stored on the internal memory (HDR-CX540/CX610E/PJ540/PJ540E/PJ610E) in order to investigate the problem. However, your Sony dealer will neither copy nor retain your data.
