Adjusting the focus manually
You can adjust the focus manually by rotating the lens ring to right/left.
- Press the AF/MF button to set the focus to manual.
- appears on the LCD monitor when the manual focus setting is selected.
Use this function in the following cases.
- To record a subject behind a window covered with raindrops.
- To record horizontal stripes.
- To record a subject with little contrast between the subject and its background.
- When you want to focus on a subject in the background.
- To record a stationary subject using a tripod.
- Flip the ZOOM/FOCUS switch to the ZOOM or FOCUS side, and then rotate the lens ring.
ZOOM side: You can adjust the zoom manually by rotating the lens ring.
FOCUS side: You can adjust the focus by rotating the lens ring.
