Turning on the control mode for maintenance (External Control)
You can set whether a dedicated controller such as “SongPal” (*) on the home network is allowed to control the receiver.
- Select [Settings] - [Network Settings] from the home menu.
- Select [External Control].
- Set to [On] or [Off].
* “SongPal” was redesigned as “Sony | Music Center” in March of 2017.
Note that “Sony | Music Center” ended support for the STR-DN1050 and STR-DN850 starting with the update to Version 5.2 early in August of 2017. You cannot use the current version of “Sony | Music Center” on the receiver.
