Connecting a TV and an AV receiver (for users of the MULTI CHANNEL AV RECEIVER STR-ZA3000ES, STR-ZA2000ES or STR-ZA1000ES only)

If you are using the MULTI CHANNEL AV RECEIVER STR-ZA3000ES, STR-ZA2000ES, or STR-ZA1000ES, you can connect a BRAVIA TV or 4K projector to the 4K Media Player via the AV receiver using HDMI cables as illustrated below.

Note

Select a setting that does not use an AV receiver when performing Initial Setup. Alternatively, set [Audio from HDMI OUT] in (Settings) -[Sound] to [HDMI OUT 1] to output audio signals from the HDMI OUT 1 (for AUDIO VIDEO) jack.

For BRAVIA X950B, X900B or X850B series

: HDMI OUT 1 (for AUDIO VIDEO) jack of the 4K Media Player

: High Speed HDMI cable (one is supplied)

: HDMI IN jack of MULTI CHANNEL AV RECEIVER STR-ZA3000ES/STR-ZA2000ES/STR-ZA1000ES (*1)

: HDMI OUT jack of MULTI CHANNEL AV RECEIVER STR-ZA3000ES/STR-ZA2000ES/STR-ZA1000ES (*2)

: HDMI IN 1 jack of the TV

^*1 Connect this to one of the following HDMI IN jacks that support High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection Revision 2.2 (HDCP 2.2) as shown below.

STR-ZA3000ES: HDMI IN 2 or HDMI IN 3
STR-ZA2000ES/STR-ZA1000ES: HDMI IN 2
