Formatting the memory (FORMAT)
You can format the built-in memory, erasing all the data in the memory and resetting the folder structure to its default status.
Note
- If you format the built-in memory, all data stored there will be erased. (Protected files will also be erased.) Note that once the files are erased, you cannot retrieve them.
- In the stop mode, press MENU to enter the menu mode.
- Press
or
to select “FORMAT,” and then press
PLAY/ENTER.
- Press
or
to select “YES,” and then press
PLAY/ENTER.
“ACCESS” appears and the built-in memory will be formatted.
- Press
(stop) to exit the menu mode.
Hint
- To cancel formatting the built-in memory, select “NO” in step 3.
