Adding a recording to a previously recorded file (ADD)

You can add a recording to the file being played back. The added recording will be placed after the current file, and will be counted as a part of the file.

A: During playback of file 3

B: After adding a recording

C: Added recording

  1. In the stop mode, press MENU to enter the menu mode.
  2. Press or to select “REC-OP,” and then press PLAY/ENTER.

  3. Press or to select “ON,” and then press PLAY/ENTER.
  4. Press or to select “ADD,” and then press PLAY/ENTER.
  5. Press (stop) to exit the menu mode.
  6. When the file to be added is played back, press REC/PAUSE.

    and “ADD” flash and the IC recorder stops in the recording pause mode.

  7. While “ADD” is flashing, press REC/PAUSE.

    The operation indicator lights in red, and the recording is added at the end of the current file.

  8. Press (stop) to stop recording.

Descriptions of menu items

You can select one of the menu items available.

ON :

The REC-OP function is active. You can add recording to the file being played, by selecting “ADD” after selecting “REC-OP.”

OFF :

The REC-OP function does not work.

Note

  • You cannot add a recording if the remaining memory is insufficient.
  • You cannot add a recording to a protected file. To add a recording, release the protection first.
  • The added portion of a file will be recorded in the same recording mode.
  • If 10 minutes have passed after step 6, you must start the procedure again from the beginning.
