When you are using Sound Organizer, the IC recorder cannot be properly connected to the computer.
- Check that the installation of the software has been successful. Also check the connection as follows:
- Connect the IC recorder directly to the computer without using an external USB hub.
- Disconnect and then connect the IC recorder.
- Connect the IC recorder to another USB port.

Your computer may be in the system standby/hibernate mode.
Set the power saving function of the computer to off, and then connect the IC recorder to the computer.
- Save a backup copy of all of the data stored on the built-in memory, and then format the built-in memory using the formatting function in the menu.
