Tele-zoom Cont. AE

The camera records images continuously at high speed by cropping the center area of the image.

  1. Set the mode dial to (Tele-zoom Cont. AE).
  2. Adjust the focus and shoot the image.
    • The camera continues to record images as long as you hold the shutter button fully pressed.
    • The center area of the image is cropped and the camera records images continuously at a maximum of about 8 images per second.

Hint

  • If the focus mode switch is set to "AF" and the focus mode is set to (Continuous AF), the camera keeps adjusting the focus and exposure while shooting. ISO can be set to a desired setting.
  • If the focus mode switch is set to "MF," or if the focus mode switch is set to "AF" and the focus mode is set to (Single-shot AF), the focus is locked to the first image. You can adjust the ISO sensitivity and the aperture.

Note

  • The number of focus area points is set to a maximum of 25 points.
  • When set to [Auto HDR], the process will temporarily be based on the DRO settings.
  • [Image Size] is fixed to [S].
  • [Drive Mode] is fixed to [Continuous Shooting: Hi].
  • [Shading Comp.], [Chro. Aber. Comp.] and [Distortion Comp.] in [Lens Comp.] are set to [Off].
  • The minimum zoom scale is set to 2x and [Smart Telecon.] is not available.
  • When shooting in [Tele-zoom Cont. AE], the following functions are not available.
    • [RAW] or [RAW & JPEG] in [Quality]
    • [Multi Frame NR] in [ISO]
    • [Smile/Face Detect.]
    • [Long Exposure NR]
    • [High ISO NR]
    • [Auto Obj. Framing]
    • [Picture Effect]
    • [Center Lock-on AF]
    • [Eye AF]
  • The speed of continuous shooting is estimated using Sony's criteria. The speed of continuous shooting may be slower, depending on the shooting conditions.
