Disc Player Settings

HDMI settings

Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [HDMI settings].

  • Control for HDMI:
    Select [On] to link operations of the unit and the connected devices equipped with the Control for HDMI function.
  • Unit auto power off:
    Select [On] to turn off the unit when the connected TV equipped with the Control for HDMI function is turned off.

Cinema conversion mode

Set the video conversion method for 720p, 1080i or 1080p signals from the HDMI OUT jack.


Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [Cinema conversion mode].

  • Auto:
    Normally select this. The player automatically detects whether the material is video-based or film-based, and switches to the appropriate conversion method.
  • Video:
    The conversion method suited for video-based material will always be selected regardless of the material.

BD-ROM 1080/24p output

Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [BD-ROM 1080/24p output].


When playing film-based content on BD-ROMs (720p/24 Hz or 1080p/24 Hz), select [Auto] to output 1920 x 1080/24p video signals.

Auto display

Set the display method for disc information.


Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [Auto display].


Select [On] to automatically display when information is changed. Select [Off] to display information only when pressing Fn + 4 (INFO).

BD/DVD viewing settings

Set the language for menu, audio and subtitle for BD and DVD discs.


Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [BD/DVD viewing settings].

  • This setting may not work correctly depending on the disc.

BD Internet connection

Set whether to allow Internet connection from the content of a BD being played.


Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player Settings] - [BD Internet connection].


Select [Allow] unless you wish to prohibit Internet connection.

BD data management

The capacity used is indicated in MB (MegaByte).


To erase all BD data, press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [BD data management] - [Erase BD data] - [Yes].

Eco

Press Fn + 1 and select [Disc Player settings] - [Eco].

  • Quick start:
    Reduces the time required for startup, but power consumption becomes higher.
  • Auto standby:
    The unit goes to standby mode when no buttons/keys are pressed on the unit or Keypad for more than 2 hours. This feature is disabled when you are playing BDs/DVDs/CDs/photo files or are updating software.
