Using a controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system with a wired connection

Turn on your tablet device.

Connect a controller to the USB Micro-A/B connector of your tablet device using a designated USB adapter cable SGPUC1 (sold separately) and a commercially available USB cable.

Only one controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system can be connected to your tablet device.

The battery of the controller is charged while the controller is connected to your tablet device using a USB cable. The controller will continue to be charged while connected to your tablet device using the USB cable, even if the screen turns off. We recommend that you connect the tablet device to an AC adapter while charging the controller.
Using a controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system with a wireless connection

Turn on your tablet device.

Tap [ Apps & Widgets] - [ Settings] -[Bluetooth] in that order, and then slide the [Bluetooth] switch to the [ON] position.

Connect a controller to the USB Micro-A/B connector of your tablet device using a designated USB adapter cable SGPUC1 (sold separately) and a commercially available USB cable.

Disconnect the controller from your tablet device.

: The battery has plenty of charge.

: The battery has started losing its charge.

: The battery charge level is low.

: The battery has no charge. Charge the controller.

Only one controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system can be connected to your tablet device.

To connect the controller to your tablet device using the Bluetooth function, the controller’s battery must be charged.

When paring your tablet device and the controller, you must connect them with a wired connection.

Unlike other Bluetooth devices, the controller will not appear on the paired devices list of the tablet device [Details].

When a paired controller is used with PlayStation(R)3 or another tablet device, it is un-paired from the original tablet device is cleared.

While using a controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system with a wireless connection, you cannot use Bluetooth devices that support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) such as a Bluetooth equipped headphone. If you use both devices at the same time, the sound may be interrupted.

When you connect the controller to your tablet device and then tap - [The controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system is connected] at the bottom right of the Home screen, the “About the controller of the PS3(TM) system” screen appears. You can make the Bluetooth connection between the controller and your tablet device by following the on-screen instructions.

You only need to pair once for your tablet device and the controller to connect again. Just press the PS button of the controller the next time.
Displaying the user guide
Turning off the controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system

Display the user guide, and then tap [Off].

Turn off the screen (sleep mode) of your tablet device [Details].

You cannot turn off the controller from the controller itself.

You can reconnect the controller with your tablet device by pressing the PS button of the controller.
