Changing the device name

You can change the device name displayed on the device selection screen when signing in. MyPCS is set by default.

On the List screen, tap (*) or - [Settings] - [Information] - [Device Name].

^* The [] icon is not displayed on the screen of some Android devices. If the [] icon is not displayed on your screen, press the main menu button located outside of the screen.
Enter a new device name.

A device name must consist of alphanumeric characters, underscore ("_") and hyphen ("-"). The maximum length is 20 characters.
Tap [OK] or [Complete].

Hint

The device name is changed back to MyPCS when PCS is reset by the RESET switch.
This device name is displayed also for when using DLNA.

Note

This function cannot be used when you have signed in to PCS in "Read-Only Access" mode.
