Formatting a USB hard disk drive

You can format a USB hard disk drive connected to PCS.

In the List screen of PCS Manager, tap (*) or - [Settings].

^* The [] icon is not displayed on the screen of some Android devices. If the [] icon is not displayed on your screen, press the main menu button located outside of the screen.
Tap [Backup and Restore].
Tap [Format USB external HDD] or [Start Format].
Tap [OK].

(On iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, a message is further displayed. In this case, tap [Start].)

Note

All data stored in the USB hard disk drive will be deleted. Make sure that any important data in the USB hard disk drive has been copied to other storage.
