Performing a total restore of the factory settings
You can restore PCS to its initial state.
- In the List screen of PCS Manager, tap

- [Settings].

] icon is not displayed on the screen of some Android devices. If the [] icon is not displayed on your screen, press the main menu button located outside of the screen. - Tap [Backup and Restore].
- Tap [Restore factory default settings].
- Add a check mark to the checkbox for [DELETE ALL IMAGES AND SETTINGS], then tap [OK].
When the confirmation message appears, tap [Yes]. The hard disk of PCS is formatted, and all the settings return to their factory defaults. Sample images stored in PCS at shipment will also be deleted.
When initializing is complete, PCS turns off automatically.
Hint
- It will take approximately 5 hours to completely erase all data in the hard disk.
Note
- This function cannot be used when you have signed in to PCS in "Read-Only Access" mode.
- When the hard disk of PCS is used, such as when other devices have been signed in to PCS, you cannot initialize PCS.
