Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch

The home audio system can be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, if the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch is iOS 8 or later. The Wi-Fi settings of the home audio system is made by the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.

Do the following before starting.

  • Disconnect the LAN cable (not supplied) from the home audio system.
  • Set the Wi-Fi antenna on the rear to the upright position.
  • Make sure that the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch is updated to iOS 8 or later.
  1. Connect a iPhone/iPad/iPod touch to the wireless router.

    Connect it to 2.4 GHz band (11b, 11g, and 11n) or 5 GHz band (11a and 11n). The home audio system is not compatible with IEEE 802.11ac.

  2. Turn on the home audio system.

    The standby indicator lights up in yellow-green, then the mark starts flashing in the display window in about two minutes (in some cases, four or five minutes).

  3. Search for the home audio system using the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.
    1. Select [Settings].
    2. Touch [CMT-SX7xx] from the network list.

  4. Perform the Wi-Fi network settings on the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.

    Follow the instructions on the screen.

  5. Wait until the mark lights up in the display window, press the (power) button to turn off the power of the home audio system, then press the (power) button again to turn it on.

  6. Check that the mark lights up in the display window again.

    When the home audio system is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, the mark lights up in the display window. It may take more than two minutes for the mark to light up.

    The connection is complete.

Note

  • This procedure needs to be completed within 30 minutes. If you cannot complete within 30 minutes, start over from step 2.
  • Until you finish the Wi-Fi network setting, it will not be protected. The Wi-Fi network will be protected again after setting the Wi-Fi security.
  • When you connect the home audio system to a Wi-Fi network for the first time after purchase, the BLUETOOTH/Network standby function is turned on automatically.
