The volume for music and the volume for calls are independent from each other. You can adjust the volume for calls during an incoming call or while talking on the phone. When you hang up the call, the volume returns to the level that was previously set for music.

The volume for calls is also kept to a moderate level if the AVLS (volume limit) is on.
