About play data
The app displays the following data.
Number of shots
- Total number of shots so far in the current session.
- Drop shots or a short rally with small swings might not be judged as shots.
- A longer follow-through is easier for your shot to be detected.
Swing type
- Your swing type when you hit the ball.
- Swings are categorized as Settings, Slice Forehand, Topspin Backhand, Slice Backhand, Volley Forehand, Volley Backhand, Smash, and Serve.
- Similar swing types such as slice and volley or serve and smash may not be categorized as expected.
- Overhead serves are detected as serves, but underhand serves are not.
(*1)Hitting the ball and swinging the racket through makes it easier for the app to detect the swing as a slice. Also, hitting the ball and not swinging the racket through (stop) makes it easier for the app to detect the swing as a volley.
(*2)If you want to increase the chances that your serves are detected as serves, move your racket as if you are hitting the ball overhead just before serving.
Impact spot
- Displays a visual indication of where the ball impacted the racket's string bed.
(*3)The app cannot generate correct data if frame shots are performed.
Ball Spin
- Spin type when you hit the ball and speed of the spin.
- "+" shows topspin and "-" shows slice.
- The faster the spin, the bigger the value.
- There are 10 levels of spin for both "+" and "-".
Swing Speed
- Speed of the racket head when you hit the ball.
Ball Speed
- Initial speed when the ball leaves the racket.
Hint
- To show accurate play data, input your racket type and dominant arm correctly.
