Connecting terminal
The types and shapes of connectors available vary depending on your TV.
For the location of the connectors, refer to the Setup Guide (printed manual).
Terminal | Description |
---|
 | - USB
- Connects to Digital still camera/Camcorder/USB storage media.
Note- Connecting a large USB device may interfere with other connected devices beside it. In such a case, connect it to the other USB input.

 | (Headphone)- Connects to the headphone jack to listen to sound from the TV. Supports 3-pole stereo mini jack only.
Note- You cannot output sound from both the headphone and the TV speakers at the same time.

 | - HDMI IN
- Connects to HDMI device. HDMI interface can transfer the digital video and audio on a single cable. To enjoy high quality 4K contents, connect a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable(s) and set the [HDMI signal format] to [Enhanced format].

 | - HDMI IN (8K, 4K 120 Hz)
- If you use an HDMI device that supports video output in 8K or 4K 120 Hz, connect the Premium High Speed HDMI Cable(s) to the HDMI IN port, and set the [HDMI signal format] of the port to [Enhanced format (8K)].
[Enhanced format (8K)] is available only for HDMI IN ports of models that support 8K.

  | - HDMI IN (eARC/ARC) or HDMI IN (ARC)
- To connect an audio system that supports eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) or ARC (Audio Return Channel), connect to the HDMI port labeled “eARC/ARC” or “ARC” on the TV. It is a feature that sends audio to an audio system that supports eARC/ARC through an HDMI cable. If the audio system does not support eARC/ARC, you need to connect with DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL).
Note- When connecting with eARC, use an HDMI cable with Ethernet.

 | - DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL)
- Connects to an audio system with optical audio input.
When connecting an audio system not compatible with ARC/eARC using an HDMI cable, you need to connect an optical audio cable to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) to output digital sound.

 | (Cable/Antenna input)- Connects to Cable/Antenna/External Box.
Note- When connecting the cable to the Cable/Antenna input, finger tighten only, over tightening the connection can damage the TV.

 | - LAN
- Connect to a Router.
Connect to the Internet using a LAN cable.

 | - COMPONENT IN
- Connects to VCR/Video game equipment/DVD Player/Camcorder/External Box*1.
Use the component jacks as video jacks if your device only has video output jacks. When connecting mono equipment, connect to the L(MONO) audio jack (socket). *1 For an external device which has only SCART AV OUT, use a SCART-RCA adaptor.

 | - COMPONENT IN
- Connects to DVD Player with component output.
Connects to the component jacks if your device has a component video output.

 | - CENTER SPEAKER IN
- To use your TV speakers as the center speaker, connect the output of your AV receiver to the CENTER SPEAKER IN on your TV.
Note- Before connecting cables, disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) of both the TV and AV receiver.
- Make sure the [Speakers] is set to [Audio system].
- To prevent hiss when not connecting the CENTER SPEAKER IN to an AV receiver, disable [TV center speaker mode].
