Setting the Profile lock

To use this function, you may need to update the TV's software.

You can do one of the following methods to set the Profile lock.

• If your TV is set to Google TV (you are logged in with a Google Account), select [Profile lock] at the end of initial setup and follow the on-screen instructions to create a PIN.

• Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control and select [Settings] — [Accounts and sign-in].

  Select an account, then select Profile lock.

  Follow the on-screen instructions to create a PIN.

Hint

• You can set Profile lock for each account you use.

Disabling the Profile lock

1. Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control and select [Settings] — [Accounts and sign-in].

2. Select an account, then disable the Profile lock.

Note

• You will need to enter the PIN you set to disable the Profile lock. If you forget your PIN, you can reset the PIN by entering your Google Account password.

Setting the Device lock (Only for France)

If your TV’s country/region setting is France (you chose France in the [Select your region or country] step during the initial setup) and your TV is set to basic TV (you are not logged in with a Google Account), the [Create a PIN] screen will appear in the initial setup. Select [Set up PIN] and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Device lock PIN.

Hint

• If you select [Not now], you can create a PIN later.

Setting the Device lock PIN

1. Press (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Privacy] — [Device lock] — enable Device lock.

2. When Device lock is enabled, instructions on how to create a PIN will be displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Device lock PIN.

Setting the Device lock

1. Press the (Dashboard) button on the remote control and display the Dashboard screen.
2. Select (Help and feedback) at the bottom right of the Dashboard screen.
3. Enable the Device lock and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Device lock PIN.

Disabling the Device lock

1. Press (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Privacy] — [Device lock].

2. Disable the Device lock.

• You will need to enter the PIN you set to disable the Device lock. If you forget your PIN, a factory data reset is required.
