The following explains how to set for recording to a hard disk device connected via USB.
If you are recording TV programmes for the first time, register the hard disk device using these settings.
You can delete the registration of a device, or confirm that the registered device can record.
Note

Initializing or registering a USB HDD device will delete any data contained on it.

You cannot operate the USB HDD device with any other TV, PC, etc., until its registration is deleted.

A program recorded on a USB HDD device cannot be played back after its registration has been deleted.

Do not switch off the power supply or remove the USB HDD device while checking that device.
