Parts and controls

This section explains the functions of buttons, jacks, and other parts of your Walkman.

  1. Tactile dot

    There is a tactile dot on the left part of your Walkman. Use it to distinguish left from right when you operate it.

  6. (Bluetooth) button

    Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn the Bluetooth function on or off.

    Press and hold for 7 seconds while the Bluetooth function is turned off to pair with a Bluetooth device.

  7. VOL (Volume) + (*1)/- button

    Press to adjust the music playback, ringtone, and call volumes.

  8. MODE button

    Press to switch the playback mode (All Song/Repeat/Shuffle).

    Press and hold for longer than 1 second to switch the playback order (Folder/Playlist/Album).

  9. Terminals
  10. (Play) button (*1)

    Press to start/pause playback or to answer/hang up a call.

    Press and hold for 2 seconds to switch the sound source (Walkman/Bluetooth device) or to reject an incoming call.

    Press and hold for 15 seconds to enter the formatting mode.

  11. RESET button

    Press the RESET button with a pen or a paper clip, etc., to reset your Walkman.

  12. OPR (Operation) lamp
  13. (Power) button

    Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn your Walkman on or off.

  14. (Previous) button

    Press to skip to the previous song.

    Press and hold for longer than 2 seconds to skip to the beginning of the previous folder.

  15. (Next) button

    Press to skip to the next song.

    Press and hold for longer than 2 seconds to skip to the beginning of the next folder.

  16. Built-in Bluetooth antenna

    Do not cover the antenna part with your hands or other object when a Bluetooth connection is active. Doing so may interrupt the connection.

  17. N-mark

    Touch a Bluetooth device equipped with an NFC function to this mark to connect it to your Walkman.

  18. Built-in microphone

    Do not cover the microphone part with your hands or other object when you talk on your Walkman. Doing so may block your voice sound.
