Make sure the keyboard is within 1.6 ft. / 50 cm of your VAIO computer. See About the Usage Environment for the Keyboard for more information.

The power and touch pad on/off switch for Keyboard may be set to OFF. Set it to ON. See Using the Wireless Keyboard for more information.

Open the charms and select theSettings charm. (See Opening the Charms to open the charms.)

Select Change PC settings in the lower right corner, then select Network and Airplane mode in the left pane of the PC settings screen.

Turn off Airplane mode and set Keyboard Receiver under Wireless devices to ON. Then turn the power and touch pad on/off switch for Keyboard OFF, then ON again.

If the battery indicator light of the keyboard is blinking, the battery is getting low. Charge the keyboard. See Charging the Keyboard for more information.
