Activating a license

Load the license file saved on a memory card to the camera and activate the license.

  1. Save the license file to the root directory (the top level of the hierarchy) of the memory card.
  2. Insert the memory card containing the license file into the memory card slot of the camera, and then turn on the camera.

    If the camera has two memory card slots, insert the memory card into slot 1.

    An installation confirmation screen will be displayed.

  3. Select [OK].

Note

  • A license file is issued for each individual camera. It is not possible to install a license file for a camera with a different serial number.
  • If you try to activate licenses and see the message [Failed to install all licenses.] or [Failed to install some license files. Reboot to install the successfully installed licenses.], the following may be the causes of the license activation failure.
    • The same perpetual license is already installed.
    • The maximum number of installable licenses has been reached.
      You can only activate two of the same licenses.
    • The license was previously installed.
    You can check information on the licenses installed to your camera or delete licenses from MENU → (Setup) → [Setup Option] → [Manage Licenses].
