Turning your “WALKMAN” on and off
Turn on the power to start your Walkman. Turn off the power if you do not intend to use the Walkman for a long period.

) to unlock the Walkman when you want to operate it.
Turning on your “WALKMAN”
Press any button to turn your Walkman on.
Turning off your “WALKMAN”
Press and hold the OPTION/PWR OFF button(
). [POWER OFF] appears, your Walkman enters standby mode and the screen turns off.
Hint
- Set the date and time before you start to use your Walkman.
- Your Walkman consumes a small amount of battery power even when it is in standby mode.
- If your Walkman is not operated for about 10 minutes while paused, the Walkman automatically enters standby mode and the screen turns off. In standby mode, press any button to turn on the screen again.
- If your Walkman is not operated for about a day while in standby mode, it will automatically turn off completely.
