Using USB connection mode
When connecting to a computer by the supplied USB cable, some computers may fail to establish USB connection with your Walkman, causing it to not display [Connected USB. The player cannot be operated.] or [Connected USB (MTP). The player cannot be operated.].
In such a case, before connecting, display the USB connection standby screen to allow your Walkman to focus on establishing USB connection with more reliability.
- From the Home menu, select
[Settings]. - Select [Common Settings] - [USB Connection Mode] - [Yes].
Your Walkman enters USB connection standby mode, displaying the USB connection standby screen. After connecting to a computer with the supplied USB cable, [Connected USB. The player cannot be operated.] or [Connected USB (MTP). The player cannot be operated.] appears.
