Enabling/disabling use of location information

Set permission to use your current position information from the GPS function or wireless network (Wi-Fi) with applications that use location information (Google Maps, etc.).

Tap the (Menu) button with the Home screen displayed, then tap [System settings] - [ Location services].

To set the wireless network, tap [Google’s location service]. To set the GPS function, tap [GPS satellites].

Use of location information is enabled/disabled each time you tap the setting.

Note

You can reduce battery consumption by turning off the GPS function when not using that function.
