Tips for better recording

Recording at a meeting

By placing the IC recorder on a handkerchief, etc. substituting for a stand, you can record with clear, low-noise sound, without vibration noise from the desk.

When you use the “Scene Select” function, select “Meeting.”

Recording a voice note

By placing the IC recorder close to one side of your mouth, you can prevent breathing on the built-in microphones, and record with clear sound.

When you use the “Scene Select” function, select “Voice Notes.”

Note

  • When you record while holding the IC recorder on your hand, be careful not to record any rustling noises which may be recorded when you touch the IC recorder.

Recording an interview

Place the IC recorder so that the built-in microphones face the interviewee.

When you use the “Scene Select” function, select “Interview.”

Recording a music performance

You can obtain dynamic stereo recording.

When you record a music performance, place the IC recorder close to the musical instruments. If you record a piano performance, for example, make sure not to place the IC recorder on the piano, otherwise the vibration from the piano may be recorded as well.

You can also create your own CDs using the Sound Organizer software.

When you use the “Scene Select” function, select “Music.”

If the sound distortion occur when you place the IC recorder close to a musical instruments, set the “Mic Sensitivity” in the menu to “ Low(Music).” In this way, you can record the sound more clearly.
