1.  Areas display

   Displays the type of area (recordable or playback-only):

   Recorded Files: Recordable area used to manage files recorded with the linear PCM recorder.

   Music: Playback-only area used to manage music files transferred from your computer. (The tab is not displayed if no files or folders have been transferred.)

2. Folders

   Displays the folders contained in the selected area.

The folder structure seen in the display window of the linear PCM recorder is different from that displayed on a computer.

Note

• If folders have no files that can be played back using the linear PCM recorder, those folders will not be displayed in the display window.

Folders for files recorded using the linear PCM recorder (folders under the VOICE folder) are displayed.

Note

• Even if a file is transferred directly under the VOICE folder, it is not displayed in “ Recorded Files” of the linear PCM recorder.

Folders displayed in “ Music” of the linear PCM recorder

The following folders are displayed from the folders transferred from a computer.

• Folders in the MUSIC folder which contain files (if some folders have multiple levels, all folders are displayed in parallel.)
• Folders transferred to places other than the MUSIC folder
• A folder called “No Folder” (Music files that are transferred to the root directory of the drive are displayed in this folder.)
