Reducing noise in the playback sound and making the human voice clearer – the Clear Voice function
The Clear Voice function reduces ambient noise other than the human voice, which makes the human voice clearer when you listen to the playback sound.
- In the playback stop or playback mode, select OPTION - “Clear Voice,”
and then press .
- Press or to select “Clear Voice 1” or “Clear Voice 2,” and then press .
Descriptions of menu items
You can select one of the menu items available.
OFF:
The Clear Voice function will be turned off.
(Initial setting)
Clear Voice 1 ():
Reduces noise, excluding that of the human voice, and adjusts low and loud voices to the optimum volume automatically, making sound clear and easy-to-listen-to.
Clear Voice 2 ():
Makes sound quality clearer, with stronger noise reduction and automatic volume adjustment functions than those of “Clear Voice 1.”
Note
- When playing back files using the built-in speaker or recording an FM radio broadcast (ICD-UX543F/UX544F only), the Clear Voice function does not work.
- When playing back music files or podcast files, the Clear Voice function does not work.
