Turning the screen on or off
When your screen is turned off, your device can be locked or unlocked, depending on your screen lock setting.

Briefly press the power button.
Hint
- To turn the screen on by pressing the volume button, find and tap [Settings] > [System] > [Gestures], and then tap the [Wake up display on keypress] switch to enable the function.
- You can display shortcut icons such as [Flashlight] or [Do Not Disturb] to quickly access each feature from the lock screen. Touch and hold an empty area on the Home screen, and then tap [Wallpaper & style] > [Lock screen] > [Shortcuts].
- To set the screen unlocking method, find and tap [Settings] > [Security].
