Sound

Press (HOME), then select [All Apps] - [Settings] - [Sound].

Hint

  • You can also open [Settings] by the following procedure.
    Press (HOME) and (MENU), then select [System settings].

Audio output

Select the output method for audio signals from the HDMI jack.

If the connected device is not compatible with compressed audio, select [PCM].

Auto:
Select this usually. This outputs audio signals according to the status of the connected HDMI device.
PCM:
Outputs PCM signals from the HDMI OUT jack.

Audio pass-through

Set whether to transmit Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus signals to your audio system via an HDMI connection.

On:
Transmits Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus signals to your audio system when the Smart Stick receives Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus signals from a connected device. When relaying Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus signals, other audio signals cannot be transmitted.
Off:
Encodes audio signals from a connected device, then transmits Dolby Digital 5.1ch signals to your audio system.

Note

  • The Smart Stick cannot receive Dolby Digital Plus signals from the connected device.
  • This setting effects only when the Smart Stick receives Dolby signals from the connected device.

Dolby information

Displays the Dolby logo information according to the Dolby audio signals (Dolby Digital/Dolby Digital Plus) that the Smart Stick is decoding.

Note

  • You can select this item only when the Smart Stick is decoding Dolby audio signals.

Audio DRC

Turn on and off the Audio DRC function, which compresses the dynamic range of sound.

On:
The dynamic range is compressed.
Off:
The dynamic range is not compressed. A more dynamic sound is produced.

Note

  • [Audio DRC] is effective only when playing Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus audio signals.

Sound effects

Check the box to enable sound effects.

Default notification sound

Sets the notification sound.
