Selecting the method of network connection

Set the network after checking your network environment.

To connect to a Wi-Fi network

Select the appropriate connecting method for your network environment from below.

Check the following before starting the operation.

  • Disconnect the LAN cable from the speaker.
  • Place the speaker closer to the wireless router.
  • Set the Wi-Fi antenna on the rear to the upright position.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using the dedicated application "SongPal"
Download the dedicated application "SongPal," to your smartphone or iPhone. This application provides Wi-Fi connection setup with the speaker, and allows you to select/play music in a PC.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using the WPS button of the wireless router
If your wireless router has a WPS button, connect to the Wi-Fi network by this method.
To check if your wireless router is compatible with WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), refer to the operating instructions of your router.
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using a computer
If your wireless router does not have a WPS button, use your computer to connect the speaker to the Wi-Fi network. Select one of the connecting methods from below.
  • Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using a computer connected with a LAN cable
  • Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using a computer connected wirelessly

To connect to a wired network

Connect the speaker to a wireless router with a LAN cable, then connect the wireless router and computer.
To turn off the wireless function
With the speaker turned on, press and hold both the NETWORK button and WPS button. When the (BLUETOOTH) and NETWORK indicators begin to flash at the same time, the wireless function turns off. To turn on the wireless function, do the above again.

Note

  • If you turn off the wireless function, the Wi-Fi network, BLUETOOTH and NFC functions will not be available.
