Adjusting an audio system

After connecting an audio system to the TV, adjust the TV’s audio output from the audio system.

Adjusting an audio system connected with an HDMI cable or digital optical cable

  1. After connecting the TV to your audio system, press the ACTION MENU button, then select [Speakers] — [Audio system].
  2. Turn on the connected audio system, then adjust the volume.
    If you connect a BRAVIA Sync-compatible device with an HDMI connection, you can operate it by simply using the TV’s remote control.

Note

  • You need to configure the [Digital audio out] settings according to your audio system. Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Sound] — [Digital audio out].
  • If the audio system is not compatible with Dolby Digital or DTS, set [Settings] — [Sound] — [Digital audio out] to [PCM].

Adjusting an audio system connected with an audio cable

  1. After connecting the TV to your audio system, press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Sound] — [Headphone/Audio out] — [Audio out (Fixed)].
  2. Turn on the connected audio system, then adjust the volume.

Note

  • If the audio system is not compatible with Dolby Digital or DTS, set [Settings] — [Sound] — [Digital audio out] to [PCM].

Hint

  • When using an external audio system, the audio out of the TV can be operated using the TV’s remote control if [Headphone/Audio out] is set to [Audio out (Variable)]. Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Sound] — [Headphone/Audio out] — [Audio out (Variable)].
  • When connecting a subwoofer, press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Sound] — [Headphone/Audio out] — [Subwoofer].
