You cannot use a USB HDD device.

  • Check that the USB HDD device is:
    • connected properly.

      Check that it is connected to the blue USB port labelled as “HDD REC”.

    • turned on.
    • registered to the TV.

      To register the USB HDD device to the TV, press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Channels & Inputs] — [Recording device setup] — [HDD registration].

  • Connecting the USB HDD device via a USB hub is not supported.
  • Perform [HDD performance check] to check that the USB HDD’s specifications meet the requirements.
    Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Channels & Inputs] — [Recording device setup] — [HDD performance check].
