Functions of the remote control buttons

The included remote control, as well as the layout of the buttons, the button names and the button icons, vary depending on your model/country/region.

There is a microphone built onto the remote control. The microphone has a circular shape and is placed at the top left corner of the remote. At the top right corner of the remote control, there is a POWER button. The POWER button turns the TV on and off. Below the POWER button are four rows of Number buttons. Numbers 1, 2, and 3 are on the top row. 4, 5, 6 are on the second row, and 5 has a tactile dot. 7, 8, and 9 are on the third row. The Dot button, zero button, and Applications button are on the fourth row. The Dot button is used with the 0 to 9 buttons to select digital channels. The Applications button displays a list of installed apps. Below the number buttons are two rows of two rectangular buttons. The upper-left is the YouTube button, and below that is the Disney+ button. The upper-right is the NETFLIX button, and below that is the Prime Video button. Depending on your region/country or TV model, these services may not be available. Below these two buttons are four capsule-shaped Color buttons. Starting from the left, these are Yellow, Blue, Red and Green. These do different things in different menus. Below the Color buttons are five round buttons placed in two rows. On the top row, the two buttons from the left are the GUIDE and DVR buttons. The GUIDE button displays the digital program guide for the TV. The DVR button displays the DVR's list of recorded programs. On the bottom row, the three buttons from the left are the INPUT, Google Assistant/Microphone and Quick Settings buttons. The INPUT button displays and selects the input source, etc.. The Google Assistant/Microphone button is used for the Google Assistant and other voice features such as voice search. When using voice commands, speak into the microphone at the upper left corner of the remote control. The Quick Settings button displays a set of controls to preset picture, sound, etc.. Below these buttons, there is a round navigation pad which has four tactile bumps, used for navigating up, down, left and right. At the center is the Enter button which is the raised bump. Below the ring, there are three round buttons. Starting from the left, these are the BACK, TV, and HOME buttons. The BACK button returns you to the previous screen. The TV button switches to a TV channel or input from any application. The HOME button displays the main menu of the TV. Below these buttons, there is a long Volume button on the left. Press the upper part of the Volume button to increase the volume. Press the lower part of the same button to decrease the volume. On the right side, there is a long Channel button, with a tactile dot on the upper part. Press the upper part of the Channel button to increase the channel number or press the lower part of the same button to decrease the channel number. Between these two buttons, there is a round JUMP button on the top, and MUTE button on the bottom. Use JUMP to jump back and forth between two channels. The TV alternates between the current channel and the last channel that was selected. Use MUTE to mute the sound. Press again to restore the sound. Below the Volume and Channel buttons are three rows of three buttons placed side by side. The first row has the AUDIO, Subtitle/CC, and HELP buttons. There is a tactile dot on the AUDIO button. Use the AUDIO button to select a multilingual source or dual sound for the program currently being viewed. The accessibility shortcut service can also be turned on or off by pressing and holding this button. The Subtitle/CC button displays Closed Captions settings menu to change captions for broadcast, AV, and supported apps (when the feature is available). The HELP button opens the Help menu. On the second row are the Rewind, PLAY and Fast forward buttons. There is a tactile dot on the PLAY button. Use these buttons to control your content. On the third row are the Record, Pause, and Display buttons. Use the Record button to record the current program with the DVR. The Pause button pauses your content. The Display button displays information about the channel/program/input you are viewing.

(Power)
Turn on or turn off the TV (standby mode).
Number Button
(Dot button) Use with the 0-9 buttons to select digital channels.
APPS
Access various services and applications.
YouTube™ (Only on limited region/country/TV model)
Access the “YouTube” online service.
NETFLIX (Only on limited region/country/TV model)
Access the “Netflix” online service.
Disney+ (Only on limited region/country/TV model)
Access the “Disney+” online service.
Prime Video (Only on limited region/country/TV model)
Access the “Prime Video” online service.
Color buttons
Execute corresponding function at that time.
GUIDE
Display the digital program guide. For details, refer to the Using the program guide page.
(Google Assistant) / (Microphone)
Talk to Google Assistant or search for various content with your voice. Google Assistant is not available in certain languages/countries/regions.

DVR (Only on limited region/country/TV model)
Display the DVR’s list of recorded programs.
INPUT
Display and select the input source. For details, refer to the Selecting inputs page.
(Quick Settings)
Display Quick Settings. For details, refer to the Using the Quick Settings page.
(Up) / (Down) / (Left) / (Right) / (Enter) (Navigation D-Pad)
On screen menu navigation and selection.
In TV mode: Display and select programs on other channels while watching TV (Digital/Analog).
BACK
Return to the previous screen.
TV
Switch to a TV channel or input. For details, refer to the Selecting inputs page.
HOME
Display the TV Home Menu. For details, refer to the Home menu page.
VOL +/− (Volume)
Adjust the volume.
JUMP
Jump back and forth between two channels. The TV alternates between the current channel and the last channel that was selected.
MUTE
Mute the sound. Press again to restore the sound.
CH +/− (Channel)
Select the channel.
AUDIO
Select the sound of multilingual source or dual sound for the program currently being viewed (depend on program source). The accessibility shortcut service can be turned on or off by pressing and holding this button.
SUBTITLE/CC
Display CC (Closed Captions) settings menu to change captions for broadcast, AV, and supported apps (when the feature is available).
HELP
Display the Help menu. Help Guide can be accessed from here.
(Fast rewind) / (Play) / (Fast forward) / (Pause)
Operate media contents on the TV and connected CEC-compatible device.
REC (Only on limited region/country/TV model)
Record the current program with the DVR.
DISPLAY
Display information about the channel/program/input you are viewing.
