Establishing a wireless LAN connection between PCS and a smartphone/tablet using Wi-Fi Direct

You can connect a smartphone/tablet directly to PCS.

  1. Turn PCS on.
  2. On the smartphone/tablet, open the Settings menu to enable Wi-Fi.
  3. Select the device to connect to.

    ○ Selecting the SSID from the Wi-Fi settings menu

    Select the SSID of PCS and enter the password.

    See Parts and controls for the location of the label on which the SSID and the password are written.

    ○ Selecting from the Wi-Fi Direct menu

    (1) In the Settings menu of the smartphone/tablet, select [Wi-Fi direct].

    The selection method varies depending on the device.

    (2) The name list of Wi-Fi Direct compatible devices appears, then select the name of PCS to connect to.

    The default name of PCS is "MyPCS."

  4. Confirm the connection.

    Android: When "Connected" appears under the selected SSID and the antenna icon appears at the top of the screen, the connection is established.

    iOS: When a checkmark appears to the left of the selected SSID and the antenna icon appears at the top of the screen, the connection is established.

Hint

  • If PCS connected to the wireless LAN router using the WPS button last time, press the RESET switch to cancel the WPS connection, then connect the smartphone/tablet using Wi-Fi Direct.
