Establishing a wireless LAN connection between PCS and a wireless LAN router using PCS Manager installed on a smartphone/tablet

  1. Set up a wireless LAN connection between PCS and your smartphone/tablet.

    Follow the instructions in Establishing a wireless LAN connection between PCS and a smartphone/tablet using Wi-Fi Direct to connect your smartphone/tablet to PCS.

  2. Tap (*) or , then select [Settings].

    * The [] icon is not displayed on the screen of some Android devices. If the [] icon is not displayed on your screen, press the main menu button located outside of the screen.

  3. Select [Wireless LAN].
  4. Select [Internet Connection], then select the SSID of your wireless LAN router from the displayed SSIDs.
  5. Enter the password as necessary.

    A confirmation message for changing the network settings appears.

  6. Select [OK] to start the connection process.

    It takes about two minutes to establish a connection.

    When the connection is established successfully, connection between the smartphone/tablet and PCS is stopped, and PCS Manager terminates.

  7. If the smartphone/tablet is connected to the same wireless LAN router as PCS, the connection between PCS and the smartphone/tablet is established.

    If the smartphone/tablet is not connected to the wireless LAN router, connect it following the instructions in Establishing a wireless LAN connection between a smartphone/tablet and a wireless LAN router.

Hint

  • If the SSID of the desired wireless LAN router is hidden, tap the (Add) icon to enter the SSID, authentication method and password, then tap [Connection].
  • If your wireless LAN router requires manual settings for the IP protocol and/or proxy servers, check [Show Advanced Options] in the password input screen or Add a connection screen to set the IP and proxy settings.

  • If PCS fails to connect to the wireless LAN router due to incorrect setting, it cannot be operated by PCS Manager. Press and hold the RESET switch for more than five seconds to reset PCS, then set it up again. See "Parts and controls" for the location of the RESET switch.
